XISS: Placements 2012

Since its inception, XISS has identified itself both as service institution and centre for academic excellence. As a service institution, XISS has a vision of just, humane, and equitable society where the underprivileged (poor and oppressed) assume their rightful place. XISS also visualizes itself as a centre of excellence in the country, imparting value driven management and development education, and catering to its diverse clientele and stakeholders.

In the campus placement program 2012, we got a very good response from all the sectors of the economy. A total of 73 organizations participated in the process. Our tally of regular recruiters has now over 100 . This has now opened new avenues for the students.

There has been substantial improvement in compensation offered to our students. All the three parameters Maximum, Minimum and Average have increased in the year 2011 and again in 2012,primarily due to improved economic scenario and also due to the fact that the alumni of XISS, Ranchi have shown highly result oriented approach in their functioning

Average Salary in Finance Management :4.50 LPA

Average Salary in Marketing Management :4.25 LPA

Average Salary in Information Management :3.75 LPA

There has been a surge in ‘Cross Functional Recruitements’. Now Rural Development students are hired by not only NGOs and for CSR they are being offered Jobs in Consulting, Rural Marketing, GIS etc.There has been continuously increasing demand both from Corporate and NGO/VSOs for hiring them.In this category also we have seen substantial increase in compensation offered along with change in Profile being offered at the entry levels
