BIM Trichy : Admissions 2013

Applications are invited by Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM),Tiruchirappalli for admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in various specializations such as Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations and Systems for the commencing session 2013.


Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s Degree (under 10+2+3 or 4 pattern) or a Post-Graduate Degree in any field including Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering or Social Sciences. Candidates who possess ACA / ACWS qualification are also eligible to apply. Candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% marks either in their Graduate Degree or Master’s Degree examination or in their professional qualification. Candidates appearing for the final Bachelor’s or equivalent degree examination are also eligible to apply, provided they complete all the requirements for the qualifying examination by 30th June 2013. Their admission will, however, be provisional till they produce proof of having passed the examination with a minimum of 50% marks. Evidence of such a pass should be produced before
31st July, 2013 positively

Selection Process:

Candidates seeking admission to Bharathidasan Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli should have appeared for the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode between 11th October 2012 and 6th November 2012. It is the responsibility of the applicant to provide the correct details to CAT authorities so as to enable them to send the applicant’s score to BIM’s admission office. The Common Admission Test Registration Number should be incorporated in the BIM application form / online registration page in the space provided therein.
The selection process consists of the following stages:

  •  Shortlisting of candidates based on CAT 2012 scores
  •  Personal Interview and Group discussion for shortlisted candidates.

Candidates will be shortlisted for the second stage mentioned above based on CAT 2012 scores obtained by the applicant. The second stage will consist primarily of Personal Interview and Group Discussion. The Selection Process will be conducted at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Tiruchirapalli. Other centres may be added based on sufficient demand. Academic performance of the candidate at the school level and in the qualifying degree programme and relevant work experience are the other components which are verified and given weightage during the second stage of the selection process. The final selection for the MBA programme will be based on the performance of the candidate in all of the above five components

(After you have filled in the details in application, you will receive an email with Application No. and the details)
Note: The candidates who wish to apply for BIM admissions should have taken CAT 2012. CAT Test Registration Number must be provided.
Once you receive your CAT score, you should update the score by click here
Step 4 Pay Rs 1400/- (Rs 920/- for SC/ST) by DEMAND DRAFT or Pay Rs 1450/- (Rs 950/- for SC/ST) by Credit/Debit card/Netbanking
Step 5 Print the Application Form (2 Pages in Total)
- Affix your Passport size recent photograph in the Filled and Printed Application Form.
Step 6 Send the Following by Registered Post / Speed Post / Courier Service to avoid loss in transit
- Filled Application Form
- Demand Draft in favour of “Bharathidasan Institute of Management”, payable at Tiruchirappalli. (not applicable if you pay using Credit Card/Debit card/Netbanking)
- Community Certificate (For BC, MBC and SC/ST Candidates)
Step 7 After Validation of Payment and receipt of Application Form at BIM Admissions office, you will be sent an email.
